Double Action Presses
Double action presses are for use when the application calls for an effective deep draw. Often used for automotive body panels. The double action press drives an inner and an outer slide, where the outer slide drives a binder ring which holds the blank in place while the inner slide drives the punch, which forms the shape of the draw. The double action press can be used in conjunction with a Tandem line or as a standalone machine. A double action press can be part of a tandem line if the application call for additional operations of piercing and trimming before the part is complete. Configuration of a double action press with duel rolling bolsters for quick die change as well, as accommodation for parts handling automation can be provided.
